Mac App Store taking two months to review apps
Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:23 AM Today is August 29th, 2012. It has now been fifty six days since I submitted Notesdeck for Mac to the Mac App Store for approval. The app has been "In Review" for twenty six days without any feedback. I've already added numerous features and fixed many bugs, but those fixes are now two months behind the submitted version. I don't dare resubmit as I wouldn't want to lose my place in line.

If that isn't bad enough, take this other problem I've been having:
It's now been 35 days since I submitted an update for Launchwrite, a two dollar app that allows users to write over their blurred system background (like Launchpad), about three months since I was made aware of a bug, and I'm incapable of helping or contacting the users with the issue.

However the Launchwrite update, the one that fixes a problem for 2% of users (the first users to write bad reviews and destroy my app's rating) has now been rejected three times for insignifigant issues that were present in the original, approved version. I now seem to be locked out of updating the application. I'd explain what they aren't approving but the responses from Apple have been cryptic at best.
You would hope that Apple would make it a bit easier to get into this newly walled garden (especially since the Mac App Store is such a hard sell in the first place). If it takes an entire quarter to get an app into the MAS, and months to update an existing one, it reflects poorly on me. This sucks.
